Caring for our people, to the very end
Our members are insured under a repatriation insurance policy in the event of a member's demise, with the benefit of a free travel ticket back home if a parent passes away.
If a member dies in Spain, the association arranges for the body to be returned home and for a proper burial there. We take care of the paperwork so that the family does not have to face it alone.

What the association provides
Repatriation insurance sits alongside the other work we do for our members and the community.

The ASA Charity Foundation looks for funding opportunities and grants to support the less privileged.
- 03End of the Year Prayer Summit and Party
We meet with other associations in Madrid to pray, discuss, celebrate and donate to the NGO projects of the year.

We discourage young people from crime, and arrange visits and handouts for our people held in Spanish prisons.

Each year the Akunaechenyi dance and other Anambra cultural activities showcase our heritage.
How it works
If a member passes away in Spain
The association arranges for the body to be returned home and for a proper burial there. To make that possible, we handle the following.
Affidavits / Oaths
The required documents are obtained from Nigeria.
Statutory Declarations
The association organises the statutory declarations.
Copy Passports
We handle passport procedures and any emergency travel documents.
Written Statements
We prepare the written statements and documents that are needed.
Application Forms
We complete the forms that must be filed at the embassy.
Any Documents
We help with any other document the process requires.
Property Lost
If the deceased left property behind, we try to get it to the family.
Adoption Documents
If the deceased has a child, we make sure the family back home receives the correct information.
